I Love A Parade!
July 10, 2010 -- Ankeny, IA. Revolutions' twirling was showcased this week at two premiere Ankeny events. All-City Play Day opened the 2010 Summerfest celebrations. Spirit camp was in full effect as the cheerleader and twirling camps performed at Hawkeye Park under the threat of thunderstorms. Fortunately, the rain never arrived as both teams performed routines they've learned over the past 6 weeks.
The twirlers have ended their season by twirling for over 2.5 miles in the Summerfest Parade. Girls are between 5 and 13 years old twirled the entire route while their "support staff" of mom's and brothers tossed candy. "When is our next parade?" was the question of the day from Nyah Rouse. Make sure you mark your calendars for the Boone, IA - Pufferbilly Day Parade, Sat., Sept 11th. That's when 5- year-old Nyah & her teammates will be showing off their skill next!
