A former Illinois state and midwest regional champion, Shelley Rouse, first taught baton at the Downtown YMCA while attending Drake University. Ms. Shelley, as she's known to her twirlers, moved to Ankeny from Maryland in 2002 when she accepted a teaching position at Iowa State University. Ms. Shelley is Red Cross CPR/Basic First Aid Certified and is currently training to become a certified NBTA* judge.
